Corinna John has written many of them. Presumably the articles that you read were hers. If you would have checked her other articles, you would have discovered that she has even written one about
Hiding Data in Wave Audio Files[
^]. She gives an algorithm in that article. The data to be hidden does have to be substantially smaller than the file that you are hiding it in.
