Can someone tell me a code to perform the task to add a rule to a router for port forwarding in the language of VB 2008. Eg: similar to this, Using UPnP for Programmatic Port Forwardings and NAT Traversal. Much appreciated if you can help!

If your still not sure what i mean then ill explain. When you try to port forward by listening to a port, it wont open without your router having that rule in it (Go to the project i have provided a link to), you need to send info to your router to port forward (the local IP, the port, description, tcp or udp, etc) then when you listen to the port for data (Like a remote chat) it will open, only on that port that you have added a rule to.

Modems are not routers. They don't do port forwarding.

Maybe if you were a lot more specific about the "modem" you're using and what you're really trying to do with this, we could help more.
