Hi....

Can anybody suggest me, I want to perform some operation when setup.exe is clicked, means while installing setup.exe(MSIInstaller) of my application, i have to copy some files to bin directory, can anyone help me regarding this....

Solution 1

You can use Custom actions to add your own routines:.

There are 4 phases of the setup process:
1. Install: Occurs before installation starts.
2. Commit: Occurs after installation succeed.
3. Rollback: Occurs before uninstallation starts.
4. Uninstall: Occurs after uninstallation succeed.
