ZIP file[
^] is a container that can contain a folder structure and many files the content of which is usually compressed using loss-less compression.
So to answer your question just uncompress the file and then do whatever you want with the content.
It would help of course if you knew what program the ZIP file was created with as not all comperession programs create ZIP files compatible with other compression programs.
