Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate CRC Failed for All 4 parts.

Hi,

I downloaded the VS2010 Ultimate twice and Still i'm not able to extract VS2010 ISO from 4 part downloads.

Also all four parts report CRC checksum error.

I get the following error message while extracting:
Extracting VS2010UltimTrial.iso

CRC failed in VS2010UltimTrial.iso
Extracting from VS2010UltimTrial_4PartsTotal.part2.rar
Extracting VS2010UltimTrial.iso
Extracting from VS2010UltimTrial_4PartsTotal.part3.rar
Extracting VS2010UltimTrial.iso
Extracting from VS2010UltimTrial_4PartsTotal.part4.rar
Extracting VS2010UltimTrial.iso

Any help in this regard?

Yes i completely Understand the CRC error. But downloading twice the same 4 parts and CRC error in All parts seems to be strange. I'm using WinRAR and 7z to extract the parts but getting the same CRC failed error.

Solution 5

1.- Open the .exe file with 7-zip
2.- Decompress it wherever you want
3.- When you get the error, before close the error message (important: do not close the error message yet!), change the name of the temporally decompressed file.
4.- Accept the error message; the file is correctly decompressed and ready to use.

You need to use a tool like winrar to extract the iso. Just open the first part using it and the others should open automatically.

CRC errors generally mean that your files have not been downloaded completely or properly. Compare the downloaded file size with the file size given on the internet for each of these files. If they dont match, your download has not completed properly.
