Simple explanation of Frechet distance computation

Hello! I spent a lot of time to understand how to compute a Frechet distance between two x-monotone polygonal curves, but not successful :( I found this document[^], but couldn't understand it :)

Could someone explain it to me in plain words? I need an algorithm. Step by step. Javascript implementation is welcome :)

P.S. My English is not really good and I really sorry for my mistakes.
