winRT app gets freezed and/or crashes while assigning VirtualSurfaceImageSource

Hi,
I am creating a simple windows 8.1 store app using c#-XAML in which on button click I render pdf file to VirtualSurfaceImageSource and assign it to the image.

In this when zoom factor is greater than 2, app gets freezed and/or crashes and it takes too much time for assigning image source. Below is the link to that code,
