I wrote a chat windows application when I'm trying to receive(Download) an record.wav (28K) from my service from the client.There is an error:
The maximum array length quota (16384) has been exceeded while reading XML .
I searched and found out that I should create new binding in Edit WCF configuration.I changed MaxBufferSize,MaxReceivemessageSize,MaxBufferPoolSize,MaxArrayLenght,MaxBytesperRead to 2147483647 and maxdepth to 32 and transfermode to buffered and messageencoding to Mtom.
Following codes are used in this program:
in webservice side:
C#
[WebService(Namespace = "http://tempuri.org/")]
[WebServiceBinding(ConformsTo = WsiProfiles.BasicProfile1_1)]
// To allow this Web Service to be called from script, using ASP.NET AJAX, uncomment the following line.
// [System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptService]

public class Service : System.Web.Services.WebService
{
    public Service()
    {

        //Uncomment the following line if using designed components
        //InitializeComponent();
    }

C#
[WebMethod()]
  public byte[] DownloadFile(string FName)
  {
      Byte[] bytes = System.IO.File.ReadAllBytes(@"E:\Files\"+FName);
      return bytes;
  }

in config code:

C#
 <?xml version="1.0"?>

1 solution

try to use "stream" for this .

C#
public string records(Stream recs) //sample method
 {
    StreamReader read = new StreamReader(recs);
           var rec = read.ReadToEnd();
           recs.Close();
           recs.Dispose();
     JavaScriptSerializer jvscsrl = new JavaScriptSerializer();
           jvscsrl.MaxJsonLength = Int32.MaxValue;
           object dataobject = jvscsrl.DeserializeObject(recs);
    //apply ur business logic here for the requirement
 }
