How do I hide a boundfield of a gridview using code behind?

In RowCreated event of GridView you can hide the column.
protected void MyGridView_RowCreated(object sender, GridViewRowEventArgs e)
    e.Row.Cells[0].Visible = false; // 0 -- Column Index of bound field
