cascading dropdown java

Hi I am not sure how to populate my 2nd dropdown based on 1st dropdown. In my doGet, I have a method to populate the 1st dropdown, for the 2nd dropdown is I have a method is based on the selection from the 1st dropdown it will parse the data to my servlet and display it, I am stuck, please help, thanks.

I got a request dispatcher in my doGet, is it alright?
