hand gesture recognition in matlab

For hand gesture recognition, we converted input image into binary images by some processing of image.but all skin pixels around the hand as well as skin pixels other than hand are detected. So we draw a bounding box around each detected skin region including hand and so we have no.of bounding boxes for extracting hand region.SO how can I extract largest bounding box or the wanted hand region's bounding box in matlab ?
