Dear All

I have to import Text from CSV to Access data.
this text contains string of 17 digits.
database filed is also char type.
Problem is when I read data from CSV using select command it automatically convert it into exponential form, and alter my data.

when i try to convert back using double.parse function, it coverts into some other value but not the original value.

what to do

Depends on exactly how you are importing the data: If you can control your csv data file, then it's easy: http://jamelcato.com/68/microsoft-access-import-errors/[^]
If you can't, then it may or may not be possible, depending on exactly how you are importing. This may help: http://superuser.com/questions/318420/formatting-a-comma-delimited-csv-to-force-excel-to-interpret-value-as-a-string[^] (see DMA57361's answer)
