I am creating a WCF Service application. But in one step where I have to give the target location to publish my created web service I am getting an error. I want to know that whether I have to install IIS on my Machine also, to run WCF application in local machine only. because of this,i am getting error in generating config file and class using svcutil.

Hi, it is best not to end your question with comments like 'answer as soon as possible' or 'its urgent', as everyone is aware that you will want help as soon as possible and so its just annoys people and in fact means you are less likely to get help. Just a suggestion. :)

Correct your question specifically the TAG such that you get better response.

You have mentioned C# 1.0 in your question's tag. If you are using C# 1.0 you cannot build a WCF service.

Correct answer. Worth 5!
You would only need IIS on your machine if you were hosting the WCF service in IIS. You can host it in a number of ways, console app, windows service, etc. The host would need to be running and have a proper endpoint for svcutil.exe to generate a proxy and output.config.
