How I stop auto download file

Hello, I have one problem in win7, 64 bit, when I connect my net setter to my laptop then my laptop automatically consume internet speed. For that I can not access my good internet speed. When I connect automatic file will start downloading. Before all this process I stop my all auto-updates. How I check which file get updating or not and how I stop this process. Kindly help me.
