i want to disable define button from dialog box which open on DOCMD(1312) in visio, i m new to visio.

Open the relevant shape's shapesheet and navigate to the Protection section. Change the LockCustProp value from 0 to 1 (True).

(I might add that the DoCmd(1312) command opens up the Properties dialogue of the shape you're running it from. Most shapes have different Properties dialogue options. What we're doing above is to apply the LockCustProp to the Properties dialogue of the shape data - I'm assuming that it was such dialogue that you were referring to, since I recall having the same problem before - please let us know if I misunderstood your question. HTH.)

Find the Protection section

set LockCustProp = 1

Close the shapesheet

If you're going to post a new answer to an old question, it needs to be more than a repost of someone else's answer!
