Maybe you could delete your C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5 directory and make it a junction to v4.0.30319 and see what happens.

VS 2008 threw up on the Microsoft.CSharp.targets file -- there's at least one new setting it doesn't understand.
So a simple junction won't work... have to copy and edit the file...
Ah, well, that didn't work either. No big deal. It's probably possible, but not worth any more effort.
