...and sleep over constantly...
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

Why to use an alarm to wake up.
I have flexible working hours so, I don't use an alarm to wake me up
Usually I go for work in the time space between 09.00 am - 11.00 am
(depends on what time I'll wake up) :P
Hit my ID card.. work 8-9 hours then go home
If we have to do scrum or agile meetings we do them around 14.00 - 16.00
and that's because everyone is at office around that time

according to the latest survey, there are 9 vampire developers in codeproject
|

because vampire developers do exist!

Quote: Surprised to see 7 people said they don't sleep. Really!!! There are bots on CodeProject, too. Bots don't need to sleep.
Quote: Why there is such an option to the question? Why there a need to start such a survey? Are we going to develop a new pill to help us overcome sleep sooner, or later?

They get worse every week.

But do they though? I think we should ask the audience...
Do these polls get worse each week?
- Yes
- No
- What is 'polls'??

If a person needs to get their weekly dose of bonding in a poll thread, they need to re-examine their life's mission statement.
|
|
|
|
|
Maybe you're only seeing part of the picture ...
Next week's poll will ask the big question of whether we have a ten minute snooze setting, a five minute snooze setting or no snooze setting at all.
Once the results are in on that one, a relatively simple cross-referencing of the two sets of data will tell us all an awful lot about the current state of IT industry sleeping patterns. Failing that, at least we'll be able to tell how many people have kids or cats.

I get in bed so early that it's impossible to oversleep.
In fact, I'm often up before sunrise and can fit some 4~6 hours of work before breakfast.

The days when my wife feels nice to me and starts cooking bacon and coffee... then I don't need any alarm.
If not... see Sander Rossel's answer below

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?

Me and my missus cut the alarm very close to the departing time. 7:11 alarm, 7:30 we're in the car. We like to sleep every useful minute - it's a hbait that stayed with us since the horrible wakes at 5:15 AM.
