I've been reading up on it recently, as it seems to be quite an intereting technology, and it seems to be making inroads into certain industries particlarly fintech. I believe it is used by digital assets such as Bitcoin and the asset management sector.
So whilst I am intrigued by blockchain, I can't see where or how I would use it where I currently work.

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you

It maybe true that with Blockchain you can detect that someone messed around with your data, even when he did so really professionally. Let me ask: so what? What are the circumstances that you need such possibilities?
Of course, there are some guys trying to change the past when something bad had happened.
Like that one of our customers who forgot to switch on the automatic fire extinguishing system after an inspection, and switched it on a few hours after a big fire... (but that was recorded in the logs).
Still, such simple plain-text logs are fully sufficient in our scenarios.

I work for a bank, somewhere in the 2000+ IT workers there is some poor sod fretting over what the impact of blockchain will be on the financial systems and how to use it. More likely a team of poor sods.
Crypto currency is the least of it, when transactions can be implemented instantly with no verification requirement someone is going to be out of pocket a shed load of fees.
I wonder what it will mean for the ability to track funds, can the blockchain be tracked back to an original transaction?
Never underestimate the power of human stupidity

Yes. That is the idea of blockchain. The entire history is stored with the chain as a digital ledger of sorts.

A coworker who was going to leave the company (and left a few months ago) posted something about it on an internal discussion board.
While looking for a new job he noticed that there were a lot of companies looking for Blockchain skills.
I don't think he even got a single reply on his message.
The company is a bit allergic to change and new technology

I really wanted to be nicer to you, but now I must inform you that I plundered and sank the cargo ships Utrecht and Roosendaal. I did that with the frigate Mars, which I stole from the Dutch earlier.
I'm sorry, but it were the Brits who made me do that. They gave me a letter of marque and an officer's rank.
