This Tip talks about not using ALL CAPS in emails.

Don't use ALL CAPS in emails. This is equivalent to shouting and is considered to be very rude.

Very good, Hans, but this is not the only reason: Using all caps shows that you're too lazy to bother with grammar and proper writing. That's rude to your reader(s) as it shows that you don't care about him/her and can't be bothered producing good and easily readable text.
