how do we backup only 50% of database

Solution 1

The simple answer is you can't.

You can selectively backup tables (entire tables) with :[^]

i mean total size of my database is 1.5 gb. but i want only 500 mb

Try compressing the backup file with a utility like 7-zip etc.
