Earth Shattering, Glass breaking, Dog Barking, Cow Mooing, Mice squeaking NEWS: Lord Nish warns GIT
Lord Nish, the ruler of GIT, amazing race champion and the Codeproject Hamster Wheel Tech Inventor™ has warned the citizens of GIT that further continuation of lesser topics everyday would result in each member being banned for Nine Thousand Six Hundred and Fifty Two and a Half days. Insider sources close to Lord Nish told that he had taken the unbeatable services of the GIT GL™ who had finally returned from a trip around the country. In a letter written to the media Lord Nish said that he was considering "free internet access for the people in the world" and he would "ensure GIT gets past Dalek Dave's Lounge posts".
Sure we can. But we always had less volunteer and so it eventually dies out.
I remember you used to post some quiz or something like that. Why don't you do that whenever you have time. The newspaper can be skipped/combined for couple of days when there are fewer posts which usually is the case these days. I must be taking a lot of time. There was one by Raju that I also liked.
And so it came to pass that in the days when the sun refused to wake up and the moon refused to sleep mankind cried out at it's darkest hour saying 'O great one let us have your presence so that GIT will finally get a reprieve. Let Lord Nish ride again on the winds of time'.

While NSA is busy outside, our Indian govt. isn't so nice either. Keep politics away but, this is definitely a thing of importance. While personally I don't care if NSA or the Govt. is spying on my mobile or data, I don't want other people to do so.
The Indian telecom laws direct the GSM operators to "encrypt" signals to protect from hacking. But, in fact, encryption is a double-edged sword. While encryption is mandatory, there is virtually no encryption used in our networks. The cipher A5/0 which is actually no encryption is used by telcos just like the use of NULL_WITH_NULL_NULL cipher in SSL.
At a security conference 'nullcon' in 2012 in Goa, a company, Matrix Shell, claimed that most telecom service providers in India use A5/0 algorithm for encryption, which actually is no encryption. Of the many GSM encryption systems: A5/0, A5/1, A5/2 and A5/3), the standard should be A5/1. The company hacked into Indian GSM mobile networks to show they could impersonate a user and make calls on his/her behalf. No encryption implies that anyone with off-theair interception systems can listen to calls without any permission.
Such a thing is easily possible with a small Chinese hacking machines available on ebay at dirt-cheap (not very much actually, but cheaper than expected) prices.
