Either this bug, or a similar one, goes back to Windows 7 where you sometimes couldn't change the "default" program.

One thing is when you can't change it, another thing is when it afterwards changes it back again on its own

An MIT researcher claims a laser space beacon detectable up to 20,000 light years away is feasible -- essentially acting as a porch light for extraterrestrial life. Especially those moth aliens

we are not able to manage differences in our own kind... do we really want to invite aliens that are going to be miles away technologically in front of us?
What could go wrong?

Google's Android operating system officially supports the new form factor, so other products from other manufacturers are likely coming too. I thought Apple had one of those years ago?

My first cell phone folded in half. It was a flip phone. And isn't this the same as the "secret" Microsoft project?

Yeah, they had a "courier" phone leak a few years back I think. So now they'll be viewed to be coming late to the party with something again.

Microsoft President Brad Smith laid out a frightening scenario in which facial recognition technology, if left unchecked, could totally change the way we live and what privacy people are able to retain, if any. Can I get one of those spiffy red sashes?

Every year or so a "frightening scenario" that must be regulated is laid out by some executive and I always get the feeling that their demands for regulation mean "the other guys, especially upstarts".
The second problem is that they insist policy makers must be educated without grasping that governments will be more than happy to claim exclusive rights to whatever boogy-tech is in question. (Of course, the higher execs are lining up to get the contracts, and the Brads won't even get bonuses.)

China is home to the world’s largest network of CCTV cameras — over 170 million — and its police have adopted Google Glass-like ‘smart specs’ to seek out suspects in crowds, but now its surveillance efforts have hit a new level with technology that can apparently identify individuals based on their body shape and the way they walk. DATA DIVISION.
WORKING-STORAGE SECTION.
PROCEDURE DIVISION. ... And it all just falls into place!
