My office is on the first floor of a 4 story building. We have single door in the corner. The door has a sign "Private Office - Employees Only".
To get to that door a person has to walk past 50 linear feet of glass walls which are puncuated with glass double doors which are usually open. Like a fishbowl, you can see into these offices - clearly visible to all are 1/2 dozen people at help desks waiting for walk-ins to aid with questions.
Every day we have people who will walk pass those double doors, propped open - past the smiling helpful row of people anxiously waiting to help the next person - to our door, only to ignore the sign to walk into my office and ask me where [insert location] may be found.
It baffles me.
Soon we'll move to the 3rd floor and we'll be located in the back behind a receptionist. She'll get a card from me every year. I can hardly wait to have a barrier from the stupid.
I can hardly wait to have a barrier from the stupid.
They tried that in Washington, DC as well, yet the stupid always manage to find their way to their House or Senate seats.

I think computer viruses should count as life. I think it says something about human nature that the only form of life we have created so far is purely destructive. We've created life in our own image. Stephen Hawking
