The Lounge is rated PG. If you're about to post something you wouldn't want your
kid sister to read then don't post it. No flame wars, no abusive conduct, no programming
questions and please don't post ads.
They want to be eaten. No animal that doesn't would be so damned tasty.
“Education is not the piling on of learning, information, data, facts, skills, or abilities - that's training or instruction - but is rather making visible what is hidden as a seed” “One of the greatest problems of our time is that many are schooled but few are educated”
I'd really rather they got there on their own merit than an inflated "sympathy" vote or similar. Honest!
Sorry, I didn't think of that.
Listen up folks! It was nice of you, but Griff doesn't want your sympathy - he'd rather looks silly with one less platinum.
So to everybocdy who has upvoted him unjustly: You need to correct it. You do that in this fashion:
1) Go to Griff's profile, open all of his articles and tips and DOWNVOTE them all!
after that, you:
2) Got to Johnny J's profile, open all of his articles and tips, and then you UPVOTE all of them instead (it won't be quite as many, but it'll bring some balance to the CP)
If you don't, you'll leave CP's up/downvote system in unbalance, and the whole site might tip over!
Thank you for listening!

I lost access to the website for a while, somebody changed the password and I couldn't get hold of it for over three weeks.
I can go back and reconstruct it from the lounge entries, but it would take an absolute age.
It seemed easier (as I am both rather lazy, and at this time of year rather busy) to just right off April and continue with May.
PITA but the Chairman's son decided that he would have a go at web design.
I pointed out that people would not appreciate 'Tables' as a layout format, and explained 'Divs' to him.
He had never used Divs and so refused.
When he had completed the design (using everything he learned about 10 years ago) I suggested that he put in the Cookies declaration, the Company Information, The Privacy Statement, Disclaimers etc. He said that stuff wasn't necessary so I asked my MD to remove me as the webmaster and to put that in writing.
I then showed this to the new Webmaster with his infinite knowledge and explained that I was not going to be the one legally responsible for the maintenance of all this.
I also showed him that his outdated style of web design was having security issues with some antivirus software.
He eventually relented and accepted that he actually was out of his depth and asked me to take over again.
I refused. I stated that before all this happened I told him about these things and he insinuated that he knew more about it than I and that I was just being difficult. I stated that I knew more about it than him, but that if he wanted to take it away then on his head be it.
Rather than be seen to back down, he took it.
Good luck with that.
This is an ongoing situation that I will win.
