Has anyone tried the Maxthon browser? I often try out different web browsers, but usually the more well known ones. Today I stumbled across this one which I had never heard of before, so I decided to try it out, and so far I'm pleasently surprised.
I usally use chrome for my daily work, have firefox also installed. A few weeks ago, I installed that one and I was also surprised: It starts up lightning fast, is rock solid. I am going to keep it up.
A well as a lot of little tweaks that are well handy, it's got a great selection of plug-ins, superb configuration and page sharing across devices, it's quick as you like, and has a nifty browser-core switch.
Downsides are minimal control over cookies (delete all or delete none), I'm not crazy with the basic dev tools (which I don't use, anyway, because TextPad is still the best for that, IMO), and a typo ("uncorrectly") on the advanced configuration page (hey, sh1t like that is important!).
I wanna be a eunuchs developer! Pass me a bread knife!
my boyfriend has put parental locks on our desktop. He is using multiple IP addresses on his laptop as well as multiple wi fi addresses. He has turned all files into dll and exe so they can not be ooened or read. Feeling stupid, but what does all this mean?
Try copying some of the (so called) dll or exe files to a new folder and then try renaming them to .jpg, .gif or .png, or possibly .doc, .txt or .zip and see if the file can be opened when renamed with a new extension.
And then have a good long talk with him starting with "Why?".
If those files are big size(like 500+MB), probably that'll be video files. Try Rename those files using video file extensions as Chris said(Ex. File1.dll -> File1.avi, BTW use VLC player to open video files).
Agree with others, he's not a boyfriend. Get rid of him
Thanks, I know *how to* do this. (And I'd prefer the much easier PathRenameExtension[^] instead of the buggy C# code - what happens if you have 1.txt and 1.exe and you rename 1.txt in 1.exe, for example?).
I was talking about how dumb a solution would be to rename everything in .dll and .exe. I can't think a single reason to do this except an installer or update tool.
Move out. Your life is in danger. When SWAT busts down your door looking for whoever has access to that computer, they will shoot first, and not bother asking questions.

Who can make T-shirts? I've got an idea for one: The "Internet of Things" with the usual array of computers connected by lines and clouds and what-not, but instead of computers it will be The Thing from the Fantastic Four - "The Internet of Things" or "The Internet of The Things"
It may sound Grimm to you, but it meets my tough standards.
