I am really interested about this Amit. In fact, I was planning to create a 'free' email filter to work with Outlook Express (and possibly Outlook itself). Yea, as you already know from our discussion once, I was very interested about the Outlook file format and stuff. So let me know more about it!;)

Well,I could tell you that you Outlook Express this is possible.(with Outlook ofcourse, everything is well documented. This is what my little SDK is supposed to do. And you could process everything from IMAP ,HTTP and regular email and news messages.(if you want to). Direct Message creation/access right now is limited to an IStream to the actual message( you have to parse everything according to MIME format), but that might change too.
With the SDK, things are as yet evolving, and it is not open to public as of yet.So you would have to contact me in private. But for freeware/shareware applications, it is totally free. provided of course, you give me a copy of the software.
Hush,hush... thought I heard you call my name now.
Hi Amit, this is an excellent idea. Infacr if you get this SDK in time, I might solve my problems sooner than I expect. Here is what I need to accomplish in a very short time (boss' pergative).
I need to write an email plugin/addon to both Outlook Express and Outlook. The addon will perform cryptographic operations on the email text. In Outlook Express it's not simple to do at. I have followed what PGP has done with the hooks and so far so good: I have the interception mechanism working, but the rest is still needed to be done i.e extending the UI of Outlook Express. With Outlook it's alot easier. I used your demo to extend the main explorer of the application. I can use this feature to do some of what I need. As for the inspector window, I srill don't know how to capture a new inspector evant i.e: opening a new mail message window. I would also like to how to capture Send Mail event. Anyways, I hope you still give technical support tot his page because I have posted a few question and not recived answers yet. Thanks alot and I hopw to hear from yuo soon. Ron
