Ponting has retired. Perhaps not a "gentleman" in Test Cricket terminology but one of the most prolific batsman in cricket. His impact both on and off the field has always been phenomenal.
Its sad that in the past year or so many great legends have stepped away from the game. Looks like we are going to have a shortage soon (SRT and Kallis are the last two left and neither of them is going to last for long).
will we get sued for posting this in CP! Do we have to delete our CP account after this? Oh some people are gathering outside our home .. any moment .. at any moment .. we are going to get attacked by so called patriots.... blahhh...
“If you don’t like something change it; if you can’t change it, change the way you think about it.” ~Mary Engelbreit~
The master of the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which; he simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both.
Most people here doesn't bother our post if any cricket topics are going on.
You can't blame cricket for that because that happens even when no cricket discussion is going on. also I see only few guys post in cricket related thread. There was an issue during the WC last year when any post was soon getting disappeared from the main page because lots of cricket post was being posted. That is not the case now as we hardly see any posts here.
A good slap on Dhoni's face for crying and asking for spinning track post 1st test match. :->
He asked for bounce. The first pitch and this pitch both take turn, just that this pitch also had very good bounce. So what he asked for was right, just that their spinners were better bowlers and our batsmen sucked.
If we go talent wise, if SRT is in form, he can outplay KP (well just sayin')
2 years back, maybe. Today, no way! He's in fairly good form and timing the ball, just that at nearly 40 his reflexes are not quick enough. He scored a 100 in the Ranji game a few weeks ago. But against Test quality bowlers, it's unlikely that he'd get a 100 again unless it's a really flat surface.
