I agree it isn't 'doctoring'. Afterall an International teams players are going to be more suited to playing on pitches that resemble the pitches they have been used to growing up and learning the game on. These type of pitches are going to be the most natural and easiest to produce. For example it would be quite hard for an English groundsman to imitate an Indian pitch in England given the weather and conditions. It's going to be much easier to develop a green pitch, which by default will suit Englishmen as this will be what they've grown up playing on.
I wouldn't say amazing. Take Cook, who is on a par with only Amla at the moment, out of the equation and the two teams will be quite even. Also India are in a transition stage at the moment which happens with all great teams in any sport. You've had a couple of long-term Batsmen retire recently and a couple more who should be thinking about it, as a result you have a mix of inexperienced and past-it performers. In a year or two, when Kohli and Pujara will be more experienced and Tendulkar and Sehwag have moved aside to let some talented youngsters through, you will be in a lot better shape. Hopefully some better bowlers would have emerged by then too.
Yeah, we've always been a team that does well in short patches and then struggled for years. Just that the fans built up some high expectations based on 50 overs and T20 cricket. We've never been a top Test team at any point in our Test history. That said, I am hopeful that new players will come who will help get us back to the top-4 (not the top spot).
I thought (oficially at least) that you were the top team for a year up intil the ENG series last year? Before that I would have guessed it was only the fact that AUS were phenomenal that you wasn't the top team for longer?
My previous company got shut down as they're not having projects and they told us to leave job on short notice of 7 days in the month of October. And I was job less since mid of Oct, but finally yesterday I got a job.
Feeling good. Really.
I realized value of things.
If we have it we doesn't value it much but we realize the value of same thing when it's not more with us.
