I'm the founder of Axel Rietschin Software Developments, based in Geneva, Switzerland and publisher of the FastPictureViewer product line, composed of a hardware-accelerated image viewer and a suite of image codecs for Windows, aimed at digital photographers, photo editors, photo enthusiasts and imaging professionals.

Our family of four is currently based in Redmond, WA, USA, where I work full-time for Microsoft as a Senior Dev, first on the Windows team - taking care of the Microsoft Raw Codec and creating the Photo Import API for Windows 10, then on the OneDrive Media team, where I helped create the next generation cloud-scale image processing and analysis pipelines, before returning to Windows in 2017 to join the Base Kernel team to work on the Windows kernel, specifically on virtualization through Windows Containers and other virtualization-based security technologies.
