Thank you to all CodeProject staff - you're doing a great job. Final wish - could we fix the fat gif i have in my article? It's the only gif in the article and present demo in final form. I guess you are using some tool for resizing the images and this tool just took the first frame of the gif, resize it and place it there.
Please, let me know if I should upload a smaller gif or we can go with the main one and just set width=600px for it?

Please send me your gif and I will place it in the article sean@codeproject.com

How long does it takes for an article submitted via Submission page to be approved - it is said usually very quick. What does this very quick means - one hour, one business day, etc?

It varies: but it;'s generally hours rather than days. But all the moderation is done by volunteers (and the criteria to become an article moderator includes authoring articles, so we understand both how difficult it can be, and how frustrating it can be to have it sit there doing nothing) and it will depend on which moderators are available and have time to read it.
For most articles, a good degree of familiarity with the subject matter is obviously needed - and that can mean that it waits until sufficient skilled moderators can read it properly.
That can take time: not normally too long, there are quite a few of us! Have a little patience, your article in the moderation queue is quite long and takes a little reading. And moderation is more than a quick scan and hit approve; moreover it takes a number of moderators to agree that the article is (or isn't) suitable for publication: that it is accurate, informed, useful, not plagiarised, and not spam - and to point out problems that need fixing if any are found.
We moderators aren't here to make your life difficult, or to be nasty - quite the reverse, we protect the site from not-ready articles, and authors from the derision and downvotes that poorer articles can receive. And to be a moderator, you have to write articles, so we know what it feels like when you slave away on something and Joe Moron from Stupidity High School, Kansas finds out it's not what he needs to hand in as his homework ...

Don't worry, it's OK, I agree with you 100%. I just wanted to have a rough idea, I have been making this article for few day, step by step, so for me it's not a problem to wait day or two, just wanted to see how the process go.
Thanks

Yeah, that's correct, I am re-uploading them at the moment. They were not shown anyway

Ok, now I can see them in draft version, but they are still not shown in article.

Hi guys,
New to CodeProject and I flubbed my first article attempt--have re-written it and am trying to resubmit, but it remains closed and the date last updated isn't changing.
Clearly I'm missing something... Have tried searching FAQs and such, striking out...
Please let me know the right way to proceed.
Thanks

Do you have code to attach to your article? That's seems to be all that's missing.
Thanks,

It's attached as a zip file... not the right way to do it?
|
|
|
|
|
I mixed up the instructions for emailing an article with the instructions for the wizard?
Just hit the "add attachment to article" button--sure I missed that before, and resubmitted... but still show's last update as the original date of submission... ?

I mean, I definitely wish there was a rule about flooding with your entries, but there isn't. I've cleaned these up.

@Sean-Ewington a question please:
Is Apriorit Inc - Professional Profile[^] partner of codeproject?
If "no" his article... Research on Methods for Counting the Number of People in a Video Stream Using OpenCV[^] contains plenty of links back to company and IMHO should be reported.
If "yes" I repeat my suggestion of creating an icon / badge to identify CP partner / special accounts to avoid this kind of situation

Then the next question would be... is there a way to see who is the spammer in the group and punish him instead of all at once?

You know these guys used to be so good. They're not a partner, but if you look at their old articles they were all OK. Won awards even.

can you spot who in the group posted that? I would not like to punish the group just because of one...
