Dear friends,
I wanted to create small tool which is used to replace some part of code in c# file from older application long back developed.
My customer is advised to use NReFactory library.
Already I have gone through that about NRefactory in code project. I'm bit confused because it has lot of features like code compilation and analysis etc.
Please guide me which NReFactory library do I need to use for my requirement. Is there any sample code specific to code replacement.
Example:
1. Reed old c# file
2. Replace old namespace, type and property to new one
3. Create a modified file in new system location.
Thanks in Advance 😊
Regards,
Ram

using ( StreamWriter sw = new StreamWriter( "Outfile.txt" ) ) {
sw.Write( new StreamReader( "Infile.txt" ).ReadToEnd().Replace( "OLD", "NEW" ) );
}

Instead of creating your small tool, I suggest you use Resharper, and do proper refactoring (Ctrl-R, O) - I've been using it for a while, and it's amazing!

The "Find" dialog used to have an option to search using wildcards, but it looks like this was dropped as of Visual Studio 2012. You'll have to use Regular Expressions[^] instead:
good.*morning

I have installed microsoft visual studio on windows 8.1.
Windows 8.1 had already got 4.5 ,3.5.
I have followed all the steps of IIS .
While creating ASP.Net website ,once I give the name and click Ok to start working ,I get this msg box:
"ASP.NET 2.0 has not been registered on the web server. You need to manually configure you webserver ASP.NET 2.0 in order for your site to run correctly."
how to do it manually?

I'd suggest googling that error. You'll likely find the instructions.

Obviously not very hard - the first result of searching for that error message[^] is this StackOverflow answer[^] which explains what you need to do:
- Open Control Panel
- Programs\Turn Windows Features on or off
- Internet Information Services
- World Wide Web Services
- Application development Features
- ASP.Net <== check mark here
To register .NET 2.0, select the "ASP.NET 3.5" option in the last step.

Have you followed any of those links to check whether your installation is in error? Have you looked through all your IIS folders to find out where this program is installed?
|
|

Yes I have checked everything and then asked here for help.

For each drive you have, type the following into a command prompt
dir /s inetmgr.exe This looks for the inetmgr.exe file and will tell you where it is located, if it's installed. To be honest, it sounds like you haven't actually installed IIS. You might want to try downloading and installing IIS Express instead.
