I created a page that displays image gallery. However, the images display only about 80% of the source images. How can the loaded images be adjusted in the ccs?
The related code & ccs are below. Thanks if you can help.

I just want to make sure I understand you correctly, Do you want to set the image width to 80% in css?

Bikkies: Thanks for your response. I just solved this problem by revising the ccs file:
...
div.slideshow a.advance-link {
display: block;
width: 650px; */ previous value 550px /*

I am trying to improve the performance of a ASP.NET Web application. When analyzed with ANTS performance profiler, it is found that more than 75% of the time is consumed on executing the method
internal IAsyncResult BeginProcessRequestNotification(HttpContext context, AsyncCallback cb), while loading the aspx page.
Can anyone help me to to optimize the code to reduce the time for loading the page?
Thanks,
Kishore

That is not your process correct? That's a built in process where you have none of your code. I would recommend you first trace through yourself and see where the slowness is.
There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

Hello
For the life of me I cannot find a way to catch maxrequestlength errors when, for excample, a form is posted back to the server containing a file upload that exceeds this limit. There *has* to be a way, but the error seems to occur before any server-side processing can occur.
I've even tried setting up a global error page in IIS
<system.webServer>
<httpErrors errorMode="Custom">
<remove statusCode="404" subStatusCode="-1" />
<error statusCode="404" prefixLanguageFilePath="" path="/error.aspx" responseMode="ExecuteURL" />
</httpErrors>
</system.webServer>
in web.config, but even this can't seem to catch this error in time. There has to be a simple solution to this common (?) problem... surely?

You can try catching the error in your Global.asax file.

See - I told you it was simple!

I am building a web site for someone that wants to play background music while the user is browsing. The problem is tat every time a post-back occurs, the audio control resets itself (from paused to running, and restarts at the beginning of the media).
How can I prevent it from resetting itself like that, essentially ignoring a post-back?

Use AJAX and an updatepanel and put the Music control OUTSIDE the panel.
Or use callbacks.

I changed the site so that the "home" page is the only one with music. Problem solved.

The KISS principle, I like that.
It wasn't apparent to me that you wanted to keep it playing after a page redirect. I don't know of any way to achieve that.
You would have to use just one default page, and create all other "pages" as dynamic controls and update them using AJAX or callbacks.
If this is done for a friend it's probably not worth the fuzz, unless you're doing it for the learning.

Hello friends! Someone should help me out of this stuff because I have done some research but couldn't it work. I have sql database with a table named logi with username, salary, location and password as the field names. In my asp.net webform, I have four textboxes with ids txtusername, txtlocation, txtsalary and txtpassword and a label control to display wrong password or username message if wrong password or username is entered. Now, the challange I'm facing is how can I query the database for a registered username and password, then display location and salary in their respective textboxes( i.e txtlocation and txtsalary) when the Display button is clicked?. Any help will be appreciated!!!
