But I was merely praising a government entity for investing in broadband technology for rural areas. I don't quite understand how that was considered spam? I have no ties to the relative government entity whatsoever and have no reason to spam on their behalf. 
Being a new member, I will appreciate an explanation so I can better choose my topics and wording in future.

Then I missunderstood it and I apologize if I was a bit fast judging.
We are over 14 million users, and there is a huge amount of spammers trying to get their posts through the protection system and us.
You just landed in the usual spam pattern: Relative new account, first post containing links that are not (or in your case didn't seem) related to the topics of the site.
You would be surprised about what comes and tries to get posted.
@Sean-Ewington please have a look to his moderated message and reinstaurate if proceed (wiping the reports in his account that came due to my post as well too, please)
