The only problem being that the average Linux app requires about 7,389 packages and sub-packages, many of which are the same packages, but different versions.
You might as well just wipe the drive and install Linux.

That's what VirtualBox is for.
(I use Win10 at home with Fedora in a VirtualBox. I use CentOS at work with a Windows remote desktop. I vastly prefer the former setup.)
