Oh really, that's a great idea. Just checked my password at Google: "P@ssw0rd1" returns "About 12.200 results". That's more than 10, so it's not secure. I hope CP won't charge me when I'll change it soon.
But that will take time. Just found out that "P@ssw0rd2" returns "About 602 results".

OK, two samples in the article. One a rewrite of Python and one of Java. Yeah, I could see getting better performance out of loads of choices in languages, but Go-od for Go.

Let me fix that for you : they will attempt to automatically "upgrade" you. This update has been attempted three times on my laptop and failed every time. This thing has the Synaptics touch pad and its driver is quite problematic. It is the most difficult driver to uninstall I have ever run across.

At least your laptop failed cleanly.
My personal desktop 'succeeded' for versions of sucess that equate to a working login but everything after that being hosed requiring a rollback a month ago. 
I suspect the root cause is an install dating back to W7 on a different set of hardware. 
I'm currently debating between trying again with 1903 this weekend, or trying either 1809 or 1909 instead...

I understand that Germany will shortly be renamed due to its name's association with the Nazis and Hitler. The new name will also be Arrokoth as it is a nice name and hard to mistake for any kind of Nazi symbolism.
Arrokoth is also, by sheer coincidence, the name of the next D&D character I roll up - so cool!

Seriously, is he first to ask this? I was thinking the same thing since I am playing with linux server for almost a year.
Ubuntu installation have like 4 different desktops environments. There are probably like a dozen VNC servers. None of them works out of the box. Even if many, many things works out-of-the-box many more itches the hell out of you i.e. dark them in debian causes on some websites to render white letters in white input fields
Some applications uses apt, some snap, some docker, some appimages, some others etc. What is great about FOSS world is IMO its biggest weakness.
