I am a student at Ivy Tech Community College in Lafayette, Indiana, majoring in Computer Information Systems. My hobbies are programming computers, playing video games, and sleeping.

My real name is Zachary Greve.

I am also a furry (e.g. a person who likes to believe they are some kind of creature), and my fursona (my creature 'form') is a Gryphon. Sadly, I cannot draw worth a flip.

I like Gryphons.

I have been writing software since 1969 and having fun doing it. I have The Knack. I have cooked bacon naked. I have worked in academia and the energy business for a little over 30 years. They have retired me now but I still enjoy writing code and trying to keep up to date. I have programmed in close to 100 languages. My current favorite is C++. My current platforms are Windows and linux. My favorite color is blue. I have never owned an umbrella. My sneezes are a registered avalanche hazard with the Colorado Ski Patrol. Women have swooned at my ability to recite digits of Pi.

I'm a university student with a passion for stunning UI design and flawless code.

I fell in love with computers when I was 10 years old, and today I am fluent in C#, Python, Java, Javascript, HTML5, and CSS3. I know a little MATLAB, PHP, and SQL.

In my spare time, I build all sorts of cool things, like this Rubik's Cube Robot.

Away from the keyboard, I enjoy quality time with friends and family, as well as reading, painting, playing the piano, teaching chess & karate, and volunteering within my community.

I have learnt that success comes through hard work and dedication, and that giving back to the same people and communities that have helped me is both important and very rewarding.

I'm a software engineer for a prestigious multinational engineering company. My main areas as of now are C++ and Automotive. Previously I worked as a C++ and VB6 engineer for a company that manifactures X-Ray equipment to scan food and medical products before they are pulled out of the production line and into the market (it mostly involved real time imaging elaboration, signal management and hardware control).

My skills comprise primarily C++, VB6 and assembler IA32 for next-to-real-time performance. I also work with C# but most nuances of it are alien to me as of now.

I am a bachelor in Computer Engineering, no longer studying for the MSc at the Polytechnique University of Turin. Work and commute killed my time, real life experience took the place of a downgraded public instruction degree.

My programmer's oath: [courtesy of Marc Clifton]
0. I will work not work with Ruby or other duck-typed, runtime-typed, or "script kiddie" languages;
1. I will not work with people that work with #0;
2. I will code when my brain feels like coding, I will not code on YOUR timeframe;
3. I will not work in a cubicle;
4. I will not put up with sh***y equipment and stupid management decisions;
5. I will write code that is maintainable, extensible, commented, and documented, no matter what management says;
6. I will spend time testing my code, but YOU damn well better have a people, resources, and the commitment to test my code independent of me;
7. I will not waste my valuable time learning some half-ass open source latest rage just because every other idiot says it's the latest rage;
