1979 first commercial software application (caravan park booking and free-loader detection), 1995 built first web server and website 1995 www.dse.com.au, 1997 ASP/SQL/JavaScript, 2000 C# / ASP.Net, 2008 ASP.Net MVC, 2013 Angular JS, 2015 ASP.Net Core, 2016 Angular 2.

I have worked as a developer in a range of industries including retail/wholesale consumer goods, state/federal government, telco, insurance, recruitment, scheduling, mining, ports and manufacturing sectors. Currently working in the finance sector for an asset management company, building software for banking and managing loans.

While I've worked in most platforms at some time over the years, I really enjoy working as a full stack developer. I like the combination of C#, SQL, ASP.Net MVC, Web API, Bootstrap and Angular JS as a way to get things done and not get into a gnarly mess. It's also been a great way to break down applications into reasonable chunks if running a project in a team.

Since 2008 I've been an advocate of agile / scrum development, and live / breathe / believe in a servant leader approach, to build teams up, from the inside out, and help fellow developers as well as management, find better, safer, faster and more sustainable ways of developing software.

When I get a little spare time, I can occasionally be found working on IOT devices, electronics, Arduino, ESP8266 or Raspberry Pi.
