Unity 3D ( is a popular game development engine that features built-in support for mobile platforms, web games, Windows, Mac and consoles. Now reports from the Unite 2012 conference in Amsterdam say Unity will support Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. That news comes straight from Unity Technologies CEO David Helgason, who also notes that more than 50 percent of mobile game developers are already using Unity.
