Is an app that lets you follow all the speakers of an upcoming event. You can find the Windows Phone version of the app here. You don't need a twitter account to stay in the kNow! Using the Ultrabook's ability to connect to the internet with out the user having to do anything means when they open the PC, all the latest will be right in front of them.
The app is remotely configurable as I have created a custom back-end that pushed the latest conference to a list in the settings page. All the user needs to do is pick a list and all their speakers are there. This means, no matter when event is coming, the app will be ready for it (even in cases like the Build Windows conference where the speakers arent announced until the day or two before, the app will have the list ready for you as soon as the speakers are announced)
This app's major feature is the ability to follow all the speakers (who have twitter accounts) in one app without having to have a twitter account yourself. The user doesnt need to go find all the speakers and create a bunch of lists, all the work is done for them.
With a touchscreen and new sensors, here are some of the innovations I will add to the Ultrabook version:
- Accelerometer- By shaking the Ultrabook, all the lists in the app will be updated
- Touchscreen- The user can rearrange lists and complete most used functions through gestures. Pull To Refresh is one of those gestures I use in the Windows Phone app. By pulling the list down, the tweets in that list will immediately update. AFAIK no other app has that yet. I get the most "ooo's" when people see that feature on the Windows Phone version.
See this short screencast of it in action
