High Performance OLE DB library : Ease of ADO, power of OLE DB

, 2 Dec 2001
Introduction to OLE DB extended classes

This application is provided for the illustration of Sypram Technology's
OLEDB class library. There is no practical significance of this application
other than provide a sample application for understanding.

In order to use sypram's OLEDB library, the following basic steps are required.

[1] Include following 3 files in your project.
    SypODLObjects.h, SypODLObjects.cpp, SypODLResource.h

[2] In the View->Resource Includes, add the following line at the end of Compile-time Directives :

    #include "SypOleDbLib.rc"

The ODL library is very large and sophisticated, we have used only a strippped-down
version of it here for illustration purpose. In this version of library, only the
following classes are included :

CSypODLConnection :
A database connection wrapper class that encapsulates 'CDataSource' and 'CSession' classes of ATL consumer templates.

CSypODLRecordset :
A Recordset wrapper class that encapsulates 'CTable' and 'CCommand' classes of ATL consumer templates.

A wrapper class for trapping and analysing database and other errors.
