GetRolesForUser by user id

Why there is no method to get user roles by their ID. I do not want to use name. So I'm just wondering do I have to write my own or somebody else already did it ?

does not seem to have an API[^] where you can use ID. What is wrong with user name? If you have user ID, can't you get it's corresponding user name? If so, get your self 'lil code to take user id and call internally MS API.

Getting roles through name would be slower than numeric id.
