Hi,

How can i get file name which are currently under use by a process.

For e.g. If i pass process name (as devenv for visual studio) it should return file / solution / Project which is currently loaded in visual studio.

or

if i pass process 'notepad', it should 'Notepad is using : x.txt'.

Hi,recently i've encountered with similar problem.
Take a closer look at that piece of code =) I think it would be useful for U.
It was tested on Windows 7 and Vista kernels. On Win 8 didn't run.

Hello Oleksandr,
Thanks for the code. But it not exactly what i wanted. Yes it is giving me all the SYSTEM file name which are locked by the process but it is not returning the exact USER file (in my case i want to get x.txt by passing 'notepad' as process if i have opened x.txt in notepad)

Ok =) Sorry for my inattention. I will try to move forward, to find out solution , which you expect.

That is so nice you! But please keep your usual work on higher priority. Do you any reference on internet from which i can work on same ?
kiquenet.com 17-Aug-12 5:38am
what is

ipTemp = new IntPtr(Convert.ToInt64(objObjectName.Name.Buffer.ToString(), 10) >> 32);

any cs file to download ?
Oleksandr Kulchytskyi 20-Aug-12 8:28am
In such way we define and assign length of ipTemp member of IntPt type. to define OS bitness version of OS (32,64)
