How to generate license keys along with generating .licx files?

Hello All,
I am trying to protect my software by creating license keys and protecting it by generating licenses.licx file but I don't know about how to go with this.
can any one help me out?
A sample application would be of much more help.

I tried searching on the codeproject and Google as well, I landed up with certain links, but could not come up with a solution. I Tried the following link
