I have intention to open up an IT development business (set up a development team overseas). but not sure which tool is right for my goal such as SharePoint, SQL –BI or Android development etc. Doing business in Microsoft tools require a big investment. And I am not sure BI stuff can be out sourced. I think Android is open source does not require any cost, but not sure about the future demand.

In summary what is the cheap and best off shore development business to start? Is it Android development?

I don't think a bunch of techno-nerds are the best people to answer such a question.

There is no direct answer for this. You have to consider what business do you know, what technology do you know, can you find good developers in that area for a specific language, etc, etc. It sounds like you really need to do some more research on the issue.

Hi,

I am not sure this is the right forum to ask this question. I am working in the IT Project Management space. I would like to open up an IT development business where development is done overseas for local clients. I am still not sure which development is cheap and easy to set up. For example, Android development is an open source and does not require any big investment to set up apart from a PC and skilled resource. And it not require any license.

I am not sure about other developments such as SharePoint, SQL –BI , .net development etc. Could you please share your thoughts? Do you think Android is a right option?

I think there are too many variables to answer this directly. Android is a good option if you have developers that can write code for it and if you have a marketable product.
