Deleted folder shown in folder browser dialog

I have a web application in which i have the option to download some files from ftp using an activex control.
When iam changing the user access control settings in control panel from "Never Notify" to any other option, and then download files, the downloaded files are not shown in desktop

Also If i delete the folder to which i have downloaded from desktop and open folder browser dialog, the deleted folder is shown in folder browser dialog

These issues are not occuring if i open Internet explorer with "run as administrator" option

Iam using an activex control that i created with a c# file browse dialog

i was able to download the file
when iam browsing to my downloaded folder using file browse dialog in ie, the downloaded files are shown and i was able to open the files

but the files are not shown in windows explorer

the file must be hidden, try to unhide the files from folder properties of windows explorer. i'm just guessing.

I tried that, but the files are not hidden, i think this issue is because of some security permission

might be because of never notify setting from control panel causing the issue. try to change & check it.

when iam setting "never notify" no issues are there.
Issue is there only for other settings

this could be because lack of administrator rights? try other settings with administrator right.

I have administrator rights, i tried changing the admin settings and checked. but still the issue is there

Solution 1

I have added my site to "trusted sites" and disabled "Protected mode" for trusted sites.Now the issue is resolved
