single sign on using active directory

hi,

currently i work on school management project .it's have to big database.so i want to put single sign on service on my project using active directory concept.

so i want to put active directory on my server.(karmac)
so how i put active directory on my server.and also add user in it.
then how i put single sign on in it.?


my project is in asp.net i use visual studio 2010,and sql server 2008,and also linq for coding.
is it possible then give me code also for that.
