After setting up Mail, Windows 10 changed my login name to my Hotmail account and signs in with that account instead. The user account changed while the account is the same.
How to prevent this?

I assume that in Win10 you can still create a local user. I know I did on my wife's Win8 system.

it's indeed a local account. indeed the local built-in Administrator account!

i followed the link. as well i searched for such an option in accounts section. it doesn't exist.

Windows 10 does not do this automatically, you have to choose it. And if you have a problem with Microsoft, then you should be reporting it to them, not here.
