Tip: Your Profile on Your Articles on Google

You may have noticed on some Google searches that some results show a small image of the page's author. You can do this for your articles on CodeProject easily so that when a Google search pops up your article, your smiling face pops up too. To do this you need to do two things

  1. Go to your profile page while logged on, hit the "Professional Profile" tab and enter your Google+ profile ID in the "Your Google+ Profile ID" box. Also make sure you've uploaded an image of yourself on the "Account" tab (the first tab)
  2. Sign in to your Google profile, click Edit profile, and click the "Contributor To" section on the right (depending on how many photos you have, you may need to scroll to see this section). Click "Add custom link" and add CodeProject (http://www.codeproject.com/). If you want, change the visibility of your link, and then click Save.

Next time Google indexes your article your articles and your Google profile will be linked and your article search results will look a little more debonair.
