I have a form with an icon. I had hoped to go to properties and find the path and filename of the icon to refer to the icon in a different form/project - but it does not show. How can I locate the path/filename of that icon?
I guess it is integrated in the form's *.frx file. There is software out there to extract the image called 'FRX Split' for $20, but the links I have found online (on Yahoo Shopping) did not work.
So to transfer the icon to another form/project, I just copied the form with the icon and its corresponding *.frx file into new project, got rid of code and components on form, renamed the form, and just used it for the project's icon property - takes up about 3 KB altogether. I called it Icon.frm (VB then created new Icon.frx). The form is not used at all but for the Project's Icon Property.
Remember renaming form must be done within VB (with the project open in VB) - renaming it in Windows Explorer will mess up the *.frx relationship and the Icon image cannot be found.
