Hello all!
Using Windows 7 and the new Internet Explorer 10 here.
Today, after a lot of time far away from this site (and from my office) I've wanted to up vote a post in the lounge. (It works for me in this forum).
The problem I've seen is that it is almost impossible to reach the green arrow to up vote the post as the green arrow disappears.
The best bet is to come from up/left side. Any other attempt to get into the green arrow is futile.
More information:
it seems to happen only with this post: http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/4509273/Pictures-from-a-developers-life.aspx[^] probably the link side by side to the arrows have something to do here...
Thank you and keep up the good work!

Are you still seeing this? I'm on Win7/IE10 and can't replicate the issue.

Sorry for the delay answering Chris, I've been out of the office several days.
Yes, I can see the behaviour. If I hover the link in the post from right to left and try to reach the arrows I can't get them.
As a little bit more of information I can tell you that if I try to select the downvote arrow I can't see both arrows to disappear, but if I try to upvote the post and after hovering the link I try to reach the green arrow directly I can see both of them disappearing.
Thank you!

This has been annoying me for a whole now, but until now I never worked out what I was doing to get rid of the...
Sometimes, when you are answering a QA question, the Tag buttons ar just completely missing, so you have to enter the <pre> tags, <b> tags and so forth manually. Then today I realised how I was getting rid of them.
1) Open any QA question, and move to the Solution box.
2) Type anything you like (you will find the box can be empty or full of text, it doesn't matter)
3) Paste some text in.
4) While the paste format selector is still visible on the RHS, press the Page Up or Page Down key. Voilà! your Tag buttons have vanished - and I can't find a way to get them back...
Chrome 25.0.1364.97, but it happened with earlier versions as well.

I'm stumped. In the Google dev tools I can see the elements but it looks like the containing div is having its background drawn over the buttons it contains. It's also broken in Safari on Windows, but, interestingly, not Safari or Chrome on my Mac.
I'm open for suggestions on that one. Too weird.

Yay! Way to go - I've stumped the Almighty Hamsters!
Maybe it'll fix itself in a later Chrome release...

An update for you - I just got it again, and if I position the mouse cursor really, really carefully just above the top orange line around the input text box, I noticed a pair of teeny, tiny orange dots. Moving the mouse right gave me the tooltips for the tag buttons and hovering the mouse over where "code" should be gave be the dropdown to select the language. It looks like the whole toolbar has collapsed to a single pixel high?

If you use the developer tools in Chrome you can see the entire formatting bar is still there. It's just hidden.
It's truly odd

Most of the time when I click
Quick Answer -> All Unanswered
It displays a message "Sorry No Entries were found"
I tried
Quick Answer -> All Questions
But same message displayed most of the time.
Is that something wrong with my settings?
Only modification I did is set the Ignore filter as
"C++, Java, PHP, Android, VC++"
did anyone experience this?

Sounds like a load issue, though it's working fine for me at the moment.

Yeah - I'm getting the same problem daily now - only way I can see Quick Answers is to target the specific subject on the dropdown

Hi,
I think it's a good idea to show a prompt box if you click on the "Delete" icon in Quick Answers (I post this because I deleted an answer accidentially today ).

I support this request. It is very easy to do by accident on a touch device.
[EDIT]Note: There are already prompts when deleting a Question or a Comment, but not an Answer.[/EDIT]

I guess that means I'm not the only one who has had that "Oh, crap.... That's going to tick that OP off..." moment.
I agree that for a delete the extra prompt would be pretty big quick win...
I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

on the tag list page I guess it displays all the tags and its associated QA.
but on clicking the link it displays latest QA filter/my filter content and it does not display the items as marked by Tag Name[number]'
Any pointers on how the link displayed on the tag list page[^] works.

At present roughly half the unanswered questions are grey, indicating at least one downvote. If you look at the questions themselves they aren't brilliant, but I've seen a lot worse. Obviously I have no idea if this is a single user just downvoting anything he doesn't understand or a bunch of different users - since most of them have no comment as to why not even the OP has a clue what they have "done wrong".
Could a quiet word be had if it is a single user, asking them to at least explain politely what they feel the question needs? Just downvoting does nothing to help new members at all...

A very timely, excellent, suggestion, OriginalGriff !

I don't think they are being downvoted. I just think upvoted posts are appearing as grey. I saw a question the other day with three votes (all fives) that was grey. This bug has already been reported.

I just checked and all the ones I looked at were 1'ed.

I also noticed this yesterday and was wondering whether it should be mentioned. I would suggest something more than a quiet word, a Liverpool kiss perhaps?
Use the best guess
